Generating Social Content
Microsoft
In my first six months at Microsoft a big part of my role was generating content for socials. One of the channels was Microsoft Developer’s Twitter account “Microsoft Learn TV.” I worked closely with another social media manager to come up with ideas, copy, and ultimately make the content. We always tried to have a visual to accompany a tweet, we saw higher levels of engagement when we did. Over the course of those six months I ended up making over 100 unique pieces of content for those tweets. Many of them were either short promotional videos that I worked with show owners to produce and edit or animated GIFs using the show’s artwork. You can check out the channel that has been since retired here to browse through all of the media uploaded.
Managing Social Content
Microsoft
At Microsoft I have worked between several different teams simultaneously to triage, edit where needed, upload, and track the performance of YouTube Shorts for the Microsoft Reactor channel. We have seen early signs of success and a possible correlation with increased engagement on long-format videos across the channel.
Generating Social Content
Haven Worship Center
During my first years at Haven Worship Center (previously named Winter Haven Worship Center) I wore many hats, one of which was managing our social accounts. Here are some examples of the copy and graphic design that went into this effort.
Since then I have been able to hire a Social Media Specialist to take over the day to day operations while I still maintain oversight and creative direction.
Our Facebook page had ~2,000 followers when I started. Today the page is approaching 10,000! We rarely do paid social so all of this growth can be attributed to organic reach.
